This photo is a reflection of the tree and all the plants in a pond. I think Alfred Stieglitz is trying to show the beauty of nature. With everything just being mirrored back. The tree looks almost like a silhouette because of the light background. I think if this picture had color it would be a whole new meaning. With all the vibrant colors of nature the picture would have more of an upbeat vibe instead of dark and gloomy. It also is a little creepy because of the smoke and nothing but trees in the back. This picture reminds me of something I would see in a horror movie. After looking at it for awhile I noticed it is symmetrical. Almost cut down right in the middle and pasted on the other side. I picked this photo because it was the first picture that caught my eye. I saw the reflection and the creep aspect of it and I decided I wanted to do this photo.
